Natural Maple Sugar Great for Cooking & Baking!
While most people use maple syrup for their pancakes, there are many possibilities maple syrup has to offer in the kitchen! When cooking with syrup, use 3/4 cup syrup for 1 cup sugar. When baking; 3/4 to 5/4 cups, depending on what sweetness you like. Reduce the liquid by 2 to 4 tablespoons and add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to reduce slight acidity (not necessary in recipes with buttermilk, sour milk, or sour cream).
